She has a brother, and a half-sister, Georganne LaPierre. When she was 10 months old, her parents separated. She lived with her mother and was inspired by her during her childhood, but due to financial situations, her mother gave her up for foster care and remarried John Southall, the father of Cher’s half-sister.

Cher was a student at Fresno High School before attending Montclair College Preparatory School, after which she enrolled in a private school in Encino.
