David Muir whose full name is David Jason Muir is an American Journalist, Television News anchor, and managing editor. The brilliant journalist is the anchor of ABC World News Tonight and also the co-anchor of ABC News magazine 20/20. He is well known for winning the Emmy awards for his outstanding journalism in National and international affairs.
David Muir was born on the 8th of November, 1973. He is 43 years old as of 2019. His father’s name is Ronald Muir while his mother’s name is Pat Mills. He was born in Syracuse, New York but grew up in Onondaga Hill. Muir has three siblings; one older sibling and two younger step-siblings. He also has six nieces and three nephews.

David Muir had his education at the Roy H. Park School of Communication at Ithaca College. He rolled in to study journalism and was a student anchor on a student newscast during his freshman year.
Muir also earned a minor in political science during his education which included studying at the institute of political journalism in Georgetown and offering as an internship at the department of health and human services.
David finished at Onondaga Central junior-senior high school in May 1991 and from Ithaca College in May 1995. He graduated from Ithaca College with honors in a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. Since Muir graduated, he has been a positive influence on the school as he has been giving back by mentoring students in his Alma Mater. He gave the commencement speech for the college in 2011.
While Muir was in college at Ithaca, his roommate “Jeff Selingo” was good at education. Selingo authored the book “There is life after college”. Surprisingly, Muir interviewed Selingo years later when he released the book in 2016.

David Muir started his career as an anchor and reporter for WTVH Television in Syracuse, New York where he worked from 1994 to 2000.
In the year 1995, he took reports from Jerusalem, Israel, Tel Aviv, and the Gaza strip after the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. This report has been earning him honors from the Radio-Television News Directors Association. He was also honored as the Best enterprise reporting and Best Television interview by the Associated Press.
The Syracuse Press club further honored him as the anchor of the “Best Local News Cast” and he was voted as one of the Best Local News Anchors.
