David Adedeji Adeleke professionally known as Davido (OBO Baddest) is Nigeria’s 30-year-old Afro-singer, songwriter, and record label owner born on November 21st, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Davido’s father Adedeji Adeleke is a billionaire businessman and his late mother, Vero Adeleke was a university lecturer. He is the youngest among five siblings and his father’s second son.

His uncle Ademola Adeleke is the sitting executive Governor of Osun State, Nigeria. Davido stands  5 feet tall and weighs 70 kilograms.

Davido had his education at the British International School in Lagos, and at 16, he moved back to the United States where he studied business administration at Oakwood University in Alabama.

Davido purchased musical equipment while he was at Oakwood and began making beats. He worked with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo to form the music act KB International.

Davido eventually dropped out of Oakwood University and went into music full-time. He relocated to London and worked on his vocals.

Davido returned to Nigeria in 2011, and put his music career on hold to honor his father, and enrolled at Babcock University.

In October 2022, the  Peoples Gazette reported the demise of David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr.( Ifeanyi), the first son and third child of Davido.

Ifeanyi had just marked his 3rd birthday not long ago. He drowned in a private swimming pool at Davido’s Banana Island residence.

Following the incident, a total of eight domestic workers were invited by the police for questioning after one of the staff had initially gone to the police station to report the accident.

Six of the domestic staff were released after investigations, since they were not found culpable, and two were still in detention.

Sometime ago Davido faced accusations of being a member of the Black Axe confraternity, otherwise known as Aye Cult Group, and that he had made cult gang gestures in his music and personal videos.

In September 2018, Daily Post reported a suspected Black Axe cult member was arrested by the Nigerian Police claiming that he was lured into the group with promises that he would meet Davido.

In response to the allegation, in September 2018, Davido’s country manager, Asa Asika in a chat with Vanguard, denied knowledge of Davido being a member of any secret cult groups.

In August 2019, Information Nigeria reported on the stir of Davido sharing a video on his insta-story reassuring the Aye Cult Group of his loyalty.

In November 2022, following the death of his son David Adeleke Jr. (Ifeanyi), Nollywood actor and filmmaker Joseph Okechukwu made a strong accusation that Davido had sacrificed his son.

According to Okechukwu, Davido had sacrificed his son for fame to the Illuminati on Halloweens day, but Davido hasn’t responded to the allegation till now.
