Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State officially laid the foundation stone for the Ganfeng Lithium Mining Company Factory Project in Endo Village, Udege Development Area.
The project, with an investment commitment of 250 million US dollars, aims to produce approximately 18,000 metric tonnes of lithium per day.
Governor Sule expressed his joy at the realization of a long-standing ambition and highlighted the potential for job creation in the region and the state as a whole. He expressed his satisfaction and fulfillment with the progress made.
The governor expressed gratitude to God for allowing his dream to come true. He emphasized that previously, illegal miners would extract and transport products from Nasarawa to other locations.
However, now there is a thriving industry that will process 18,000 tonnes of Lithium every day.
The Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, the Emir of Nasarawa, Ibrahim Usman Jibrin, and the Managing Director of Sinoma Nigeria, Mr. Qiao Qiufeng, were also present at the event.
