It Costs A Lot Of Money To Achieve The Guinness World Record Feat – Hilda Baci

Hilda Baci is currently basking in her recent successful attempt to break and set a new Guinness World Record for longest cooking time by an individual.

Last week Hilda set out on a Cook-A-Thon and broke the previous record of 87 hours, setting a new record of 100 hours which is awaiting official confirmation.

The popular chef and entrepreneur recently disclosed that it takes a lot of money and effort to achieve the feat. According to her, it took her over 5 years to conceptualize the event and a year and five months to decide if it would happen.

Hilda in an interview with Channels TV disclosed that she spent over five months on the actual execution of the event and that it took a lot of money to pull it off.

The overwhelming ovation from Nigerians and the world however made every sacrifice for the feat worth it.

“I have been overwhelmed with love in a very good way, I did not expect it to be this massive, but I am very grateful.

“It took us about six months to plan the actual event up to execution; it took a year and five months from when I decided this would happen, and the idea came to me five years ago,” she said.

Reacting to a question on the cost of organizing the event, she said: “Especially at that scale and size, it costs a lot of money; I cannot specifically give the figure”.

Hilda Baci in a 100 hours stint cooked over 100 meals and broke the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon whose record was 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.

Guiness World Records had confirmed that they are aware of the event and look forward to reviewing all the evidence  for its Record Management team, after which an official confirmation will be issued.
