JAMB Releases 2025 Mock Exam Results Amid Crackdown on Exam Fraud

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock exams, which were conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Over 211,000 candidates participated in the mock exams across various accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers nationwide.

How to Check Your Mock Results

Candidates can check their mock exam results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number they registered with.

JAMB’s Measures Against Exam Malpractice

In a bid to curb examination malpractice, JAMB deployed a decoy website to identify candidates attempting to cheat. Approximately 180 candidates were caught after paying for access to the fake site, believing they were purchasing leaked exam questions. JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, stated that these candidates would face penalties, including the cancellation of their results.

Challenges Faced During the Mock Exams

Despite efforts to ensure a smooth examination process, some candidates and parents reported significant delays at certain CBT centers. At the CMS Grammar School CBT Centre in Bariga, Lagos, candidates were left waiting for hours without communication from officials, leading to frustration among students and their guardians.

Looking Ahead

The main UTME is scheduled to commence on April 25, 2025. JAMB has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that candidates are assessed fairly. Candidates are advised to prepare diligently and avoid any form of malpractice.

For further updates and information, candidates should regularly check JAMB’s official communication channels.
