Jeffrey Adam Zucker was born on April 9, 1965, in Homestead, Florida, near Miami, United States. Theirs was a Jewish family. His parents were Matthew and Arline Zucker. While his father worked as a cardiologist, his mother worked at a school as a teacher.

Young Jeff captained the tennis team as a student at North Miami Senior High School. He was also a teenage freelance reporter for The Miami Herald and editor of his school’s paper. He served as president in his sophomore, junior, and senior classes. He completed his studies at North Miami Senior High School in 1982 and proceeded to Harvard University for his tertiary education. Following his graduation from Harvard University in 1986, Jeff Zucker was hired by NBC to work as a researcher. He maintained that position for three years before quitting for another job where he was tasked with the responsibility of field producer for a show ‘Today’. At the age of 26 in the year 1992, he was made the show’s executive producer. He stayed with the show and managed it through its most successful years, and earned credits for steering it into sixteen long years of dominating in ratings.

In 2000, Jeff was selected to be president of NBC Entertainment. Under his reign as the head of the company, he oversaw the entire schedule of NBC Entertainment and made several key changes in the network which proved beneficial.
