Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is a politician, lawyer, and a member of the Democratic Party. He is best-known as the current and 46th president of the U.S. from 2021 till date. Joe Biden was born Joseph Robinette Biden, Sr. and Catherine Eugenia on November 20, 1942. He and the rest of his siblings were raise Catholics. Catherine Eugenia “Jean” and Joseph Robinette “Joe” Biden, Sr. as the eldest of their four children. He attended Archmere Academy in Claymont from where he graduated in 1961.

He then proceeded to the University of Delaware to study history and political science. While in college, he started a relationship with a girl and their relationship spurred him to take life more seriously. His hard work made sure that he was accepted into Syracuse University Law School in 1965 when he graduated from the University of Delaware. He got married in 1966 while still a student, and graduated from law school in 1968.

Career & Professional Life

Upon graduating from law school, he moved to Delaware and began to practice law at a firm. At this time, he began to pay attention to politics as the Democratic Party member, and he was elected to New Castle County Council in 1970.

In 1972 he ran for senate in the United States Senate as a representative of Delaware and won the election, becoming the fifth-youngest senator elected in the history of United States at 29. But tragedy soon came knocking when his wife and daughter died in a ghastly automobile accident which left his two sons badly wounded. Grief-stricken, he went ahead to take the oath of office on the 5th of January, 1973.

The next few years weren’t exactly the best for Joe Biden as he had to manage his situation as a single parent and in the early years of his political experience. Undeterred, he fulfilled his political duties and gained the respect of many, establishing himself as an ambitious and hard working politician.

Biden unsuccessfully pursued a Democratic presidential nomination in the year 1988. Two decades later, he declared his candidacy for president once again in 2007, dropping out of the race once more as he did not gain much support.

Unfortunately, Neilia and their daughter we’re involved in a tragic accident which took their lives in 1972, leaving behind Joe and his two sons who were also part of the accident.

After Joe Biden met Tracy Jacobs in 1975, they fell in love and tied the knot in 1977. They have one daughter together.

On May 30, 2015, Joe Biden’s son Beau Biden passed away at the age of 46 after suffering brain cancer for many years.
