Naira Marley and Balogun Eletu were both detained on Wednesday for a period of 21 days, following a request from the Lagos State Police Command.
The court agreed to remand them in police custody while investigations into the death of Naira Marley’s former signee, Mohbad, were being completed.
Singer Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, has been declared wanted by the police. In connection with the death of Mohbad, a N1 million bounty has been placed on Primeboy’s head for his refusal to comply with the police invitation.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the police command, revealed this information on his social media account. Describing Ibrahim as approximately 1.64m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks, and of Yoruba descent, it is alleged that he failed to respond to the police invitation throughout the investigation into Mohbad’s death.
I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.
