Liverpool increased their Premier League after they beat Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Palace traveled to Liverpool for the fifth game of the season. Patrick Viera and his men were hunting a second win of the season while Liverpool were seeking a second consecutive win to go top of the table.
The game went underway at 3pm. Liverpool were immediately in charge but the Palace players showed that Patrick Viera had instilled strict lessons in them.
But at the 43rd minute, Liverpool’s persistence paid off.
Mo Salah latched onto a corner kick with a header which Crystal Palace goalkeeper parried. The defenders failed to clear the ball and Mane was there to send the ball soaring into the post.
Mane’s goal against Palace was his 100th for Liverpool.
The second half resumed with Liverpool sustaining their attack momentum.
It wasn’t until the 78th minute when Mo Salah got another goal to increase his tally for Liverpool when Sallah latched onto a ball by Virgil Van Dijk. Sallah put the ball beyond Guaita and celebrated by talking his shirt off.
Naby Keita finished off the game with a beautiful volley at dying minute.
Patrick Viera and his men will have to wait until next weekend to have another chance at getting their second win of the season.
Livepoool moved to the top of the table today with 13 points after 5 games. Second-placed Manchester City were held to a goalless draw at home by Southampton, while Mancehster United will play West Ham tomorrow for a chance to go top.
