Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer, MohBad, expressed his desire for the DNA test of his deceased child’s son, Liam, to be conducted in his presence.

He stated that this was to resolve the intense dispute among Nigerians regarding the child’s paternity and related matters involving the former Marlian singer and his wife.

During an interview with Stams TV on Wednesday, the father of the deceased singer stressed the significance of conducting a DNA test. He dismissed the rumor that the test had already been conducted, which was spread by OGBCultist, a popular skit maker believed to be a friend of Mohbad.

Additionally, he suggested that the test should be carried out at two separate hospitals to ensure accurate and reliable results. Aloba stated, “It is crucial for the DNA test to be performed, as Nigerians are requesting it.

While I have heard rumors of its completion, as Mohbad’s father, I will grant consent for the test and also appoint a representative in case I cannot be present during the procedure.

Furthermore, I strongly believe that the test should be conducted in two different locations to establish the truth with absolute certainty.”

Additionally, the Olu of Ikere recently paid me a visit, showing that even in my hometown of Ikere Ekiti, we do not accept illegitimate children. However, I would find great joy if this child turns out to be Mohbad’s, as he claimed to have fathered only one child with me. Just three days before his death, we were together, and he even served me a meal while placing our son, Liam, in my arms to take pictures.

Furthermore, he expressed his desire for the police to quickly conclude their investigation so that proper burial rites can be performed for their deceased child.

“I will contact the police chief to determine if it’s possible for us to proceed with the burial. Many people have reported sightings of Mohbad’s ghost, which can only be explained by the fact that he has not been laid to rest. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed promptly,” he stated.

On September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, MohBad passed away, resulting in a wave of controversy that ignited nationwide protests in Nigeria.

Among the five primary suspects named, MohBad’s former label boss, Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and his associate, Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, were included.
