The Guinness World Record holder for the most skips on one foot in 30 seconds is Philip Solomon, a 17-year-old student at Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, Ondo State.
On January 24, Solomon officially surpassed the previous record holder Rasel Islam of Bangladesh, who had set a time of 145 skips in one foot in 30 seconds.
On Tuesday, four months after his attempt, the Guinness World Records organization formally ratified his record.

According to punch, “Solomon was inspired by the previous holder of this record title Rasel Islam after seeing a video of his record attempt. He has been training to achieve the record and was honoured to attend a skipping world championship,” Guinness World Record announced on its website.
In order to bring Nigeria’s rope skipping Guinness World Records total to two, Solomon has joined his Ijapo High School, Akure counterpart, Gbenga Ezekiel, who was in February named the world record holder for most skips on one leg in one minute with 265 skips.
The senior high school pupil who claimed to have been motivated by Gbenga Ezekiel’s achievement earlier this year also stated so.
