Paul George is a successful American professional basketball player who is currently affiliated with the Los Angeles Clippers team of the National Basketball Association (NBA) where he plays as a small forward. A California native, Paul was raised in a family that was passionate about athletics. As a teen passionate about basketball, he found his inspiration in American basketball star Kobe Bryant (late since 2020). Though he received his first instruction in the game of basketball from his older sister, he started playing organized basketball during his freshman year in high school and then went on to play for the varsity team during his last three years in high school and later had a feel of college basketball for two seasons. In the 2010 NBA Draft, Paul was chosen by the Indiana Pacers where he played professional basketball for seven seasons and left the team after earning four inclusions in the NBA All-Star team. He joined Oklahoma City Thunder in July 2017 and also made it to the All-Star team before switching alliance to the Los Angeles Clippers a year ago. Asides from his presence in the NBA, Paul has also represented his country internationally as part of the gold-medal-winning United States basketball delegation to the 2016 Summer Olympics that was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He was born Paul Cliftonantho George in Palmdale, California, United States, on May 2, 1990. He is the youngest child in the family of Paul George Sr. and Paulette George. He has two older sisters, Portala and Teiosha. Theirs was a family that was enthusiastic about all things sports. The senior Paul and his wife created an environment where they encouraged their children to take up sports. Portala played volleyball at California State University, San Bernardino, while her sister, Teiosha was a basketball player at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
George grew up being a devoted supporter of the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. He idolized Kobe Bryant as a child, and his elder sister Teiosha was always available to give him lessons on the game.
He attended Knight High School for his secondary education and was promoted to the varsity team (the only non-senior student in the starting lineup) while there. He later attended Pepperdine University for a semester before enrolling at the California State University in Fresno.
Professional Life: College Career, NBA Draft, Rise to Stardom
Paul George spent two years with the Fresno State. During the 2008-09 season, he appeared in a total of 34 games being part of the starting lineup in all. On November 18, 2008, he was won the ‘Player of the Day’ award for his performance in a game against the Saint Mary’s. At the start of his sophomore year, he was chosen as the ‘most entertaining player’ in the West region and the 8th most entertaining player to watch in college basketball by ‘Sports Illustrated’. He was included in the All-WAC Second-Team at the end of the 2009-10 season.

In 2010, Paul George put himself up for the NBA draft after deciding not to play the remaining two seasons of college eligibility at Fresno State, and it turned out to be a clever decision as he was eventually drafted by the Indiana Pacers. He formally joined the Pacers on the 1st of July after signing a two-year rookie contract for $3.9 million. He made his debut against the NBA side San Antonio Spurs on 27 October and scored four points in the 23 minutes that he was on the court. By the end of his first season in the NBA, Paul had featured in 61 games and scored 7.8 points per game on average.
At the time of his entry into the league, Paul was a shooting guard. He was later shifted to the small forward position during his third season as a professional basketball player. On July 6, 2017, he was traded to Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Domantas Sabonis and Victor Oladipo. His first season with the team was a good one, and he finished the next three seasons by securing a spot in the NBA All-Star team. The small forward was formerly in a relationship with Callie Rivers, the daughter of Doc Rivers, the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. Their relationship ended in 2013 when it was revealed that an exotic dancer named Daniela Rajic was pregnant with his child. His daughter Olivia George was born on May 1, 2014.
Paul has since allegedly dated Jessica Burciaga. In December 2016, he started a relationship with stylist Destiny Marie Hatcher.
In 2017, he eventually got back together with Rajic who gave birth to his second daughter named Natasha on the 1st of November 2017.
