He was born Travis Kuualiialoha Browne in Oahu, Hawaii, United States, on July 17, 1982.
Travis’ father was an alcoholic and participated in local gang culture. For Travis, his childhood was pretty bad for him as he had to deal with his father’s issues. Before becoming a mixed martial artist, however, Travis wanted to play basketball which he was excellent at, It was one of his friends that introduced him to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and he ended up following his destiny by abandoning basketball to jump into professional mix martial arts.
